Wisbech Locality Youth Work Team In the summer of 2009, the Jammin youth project was formed. It came about from the success of the sessions run through Fenland Arts, held at the Queen Mary Centre, Wisbech. Since then, it is ever growing in popularity and currently, consists of three bands. But amidst country-wide financial turmoil, funding for the project is gradually running out. The young people involved in the project know only too well the situation and so keen are they about their ‘Jammin’ sessions, they will consider any fund-raising ideas to keep their ‘Jams’ going! This is a fund-raising event and an opportunity for the young people to flaunt their performance skills and a chance for anyone who may have missed previous gigs, to come and see what the ‘Jammin’ youth club is all about. Come and enjoy another performance by the Jammers, ‘New Beginnings’, ‘Two Weeks Too Late’ and ‘Crossfire’ collectively. We are also inviting other local bands/performers and hope to put on a great show. There will be light refreshments available at the event in the hope to raise further funds and a raffle. For any information or queries about the gig or ‘Jammin’ in general, please contact the youth workers on the project, Amber or Mike, on 01945 582438. |
