247tales 2012
We thought you might like to know that 247tales.com – Bloomsbury’s very short story competition for young writers aged 10-16 – will be launching again on 1st March 2012. The competition challenges young writers to create a story on a given theme using no more than 247words. A Bloomsbury author also writes a tale as inspiration.
In 2011 there were a staggering 1300 entries from young writers across the year and we’d like to get even more people sending in stories. In 2012 there will be 247tales from Tony Bradman, Anne Cassidy, Jim Eldridge and a host of other authors. I will send you more information nearer the time of launch.
In the mean time if you would like to read some of the author stories from the 247tales archive then head over to www.facebook.com/247tales and have a read. All you have to do is ‘like’ the page and we can get more and more people writing those very short stories.
